Elementary 21st Century Strengths

When students have built a character core, these character strengths work together to support the development of  21st Century strengths such as leadership, resiliency, mindfulness, and innovation. Leadership, for example, requires one to exercise patience, commitment, courage, and perseverance, all core strengths. 21st Century skills are strengths most employers have identified as essential to be college and career ready in today’s world and in the future workplace. Lesson plans support increased rigor with a menu of student activities that include problem-solving and research.
